Hi, Dr. Drake here!
Parents, have you noticed that your entire family isn’t just stressed out—but now, more than ever, everyone seems completely drained, overwhelmed, and emotionally on edge?
It likely started with the fast-paced lifestyle that kicks in once kids reach school age—homework, sports, and extracurriculars filling up your schedule. Then, if someone in your family struggles with health challenges, add doctor and therapy appointments to the mix, and suddenly, you’re running on empty every single day. It’s no wonder that so many families today aren’t just stressed—they’re both wound up and worn out!
If that sounds like your household, then this is a must-watch video! We're breaking down the 3 Progressive Stages of Subluxation and Nervous System Dysregulation—what happens when stress overwhelms the nervous system, locking it into fight-or-flight mode, leading to exhaustion and dysfunction.
While many families try to improve their health with diet, exercise, supplements, and essential oils, there’s one critical missing link—an overworked, exhausted nervous system.
When the nervous system gets stuck, dysregulated, and imbalanced, we call it subluxation.
Stress and burnout aren’t just affecting adults anymore. In today’s high-pressure world—where stress and toxins can impact kids from pregnancy and birth onward—even young children are facing neurological exhaustion. The earlier stress, toxins, and trauma show up, the faster they move through the 3 Stages of Subluxation.
Here’s how it happens:
🔴 Stage 1 – Sympathetic Fight or Flight Overdrive
The body’s first reaction to stress is shifting into protection mode—the fight-or-flight response. This should be temporary, but for many kids and families, stressors never stop, causing the nervous system to get stuck in overdrive.
Because the nervous system is constantly in fight-or-flight, it means it's NOT functioning in Rest, Relax, and Regulate Mode (Parasympathetic Mode). That’s when key health challenges start showing up—trouble with sleep, digestion, immune health, and emotional regulation.
For kids, this is when neurological development gets disrupted, especially in areas like motor coordination and milestone progression.
🟠 Stage 2 – Confusion
This is when subluxation begins deeply impacting health—leading to metabolic, thyroid, and adrenal issues. These used to be concerns only for adults and teens, but today, we’re seeing these signs of neurological burnout in young kids—even infants who’ve experienced birth trauma.
🟡 Stage 3 – Total Neurological Exhaustion
By this stage, the nervous system is completely worn out and struggling to regulate basic functions. This leads to extreme fatigue, endocrine imbalances, immune dysfunction, and developmental delays in children.
